CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Gothorita becomes particularly active under a starry sky. It draws energy from starlight, allowing it to levitate stones and mark the stars' positions. Its psychic powers are said to be especially strong then. Unsettling stories surround its nighttime appearances: it supposedly hypnotizes beings and sometimes takes away sleeping children. The Pokédex preserves these accounts as legends without establishing their connection with space with certainty.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon White describes stones moved by Gothorita to mark the stars' positions. Pokémon Shield notes that its power seems to peak on starry nights while leaving its relationship with space unanswered. Stories of abduction, meanwhile, belong to the reported legends.
