The Pokémon’s story
Finizen likes playing with its kind using the water ring around its tail. This ring is more than seawater: it also contains a sticky substance Finizen secretes from its blowhole. To perceive its surroundings, it emits ultrasound that can reveal other living beings' emotions. The Pokédex thus gives it two very different means of relating to others: visible play in water and invisible perception of others.
