CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

The two Tandemaus stay together no matter what. They divide any food they find into exactly two portions and eat side by side. Their cooperation also appears when building a nest: their incisors cut pieces from useful materials, which they then carry away. The Pokédex emphasizes this teamwork. For this pair, eating and building follow the same rule: act together without leaving either one out.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Violet notes that Tandemaus divide every food find into two equal portions before eating. Pokémon Scarlet describes their incisors as cutting tools for nest materials. Their cooperation therefore extends even to the most ordinary actions.
