CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Surfing Beach lets each player, once during their turn, switch their Active Water Pokémon with a Water Pokémon on their Bench. The Stadium opens a movement option for both sides. Both teammates involved must have the required type. One being Water is not enough to turn the effect into a free switch with any partner on the field.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Surfing Beach checks Water type on both the Active Pokémon and the chosen Benched Pokémon. Each player can use this option during their turn. The text adds no Energy cost or coin flip to the movement.
