CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Kingler has a gigantic claw powerful enough to strike very hard. It also raises it to communicate with its kind. Yet this imposing size costs energy: the claw is heavy, difficult to handle outside battle and can upset its balance if raised too quickly. The Pokédex thus presents an impressive weapon requiring control whose weight becomes a handicap when no enemy stands before it.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Omega Ruby reports that Kingler uses its claw to communicate but tires quickly because of its weight. Pokémon Y adds that moving too fast can unbalance it. Its greatest strength therefore also demands caution in movement.
