CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Cynthia's Ambition fills your hand to five cards while preserving those already there. If one of your Pokémon was Knocked Out during the opponent's last turn, the target total rises to eight. This support therefore responds to a recent loss, but its contribution also depends on current hand size: it does not always give eight new cards.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
Cynthia's Ambition's improved threshold concerns the opponent's last turn. An older Knock Out is not enough. Eight cards represents the hand size to reach, counting the cards the player still holds.
