CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Box of Disaster responds if the Pokémon V holding it has full HP and an opposing attack Knocks it Out with damage. It then places eight damage counters on the attacking Pokémon. The Tool prepares retaliation for a Knock Out from full health rather than for any injury accumulated gradually.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Having full HP before the Knock Out is essential to the condition. An already injured holder does not trigger this retaliation merely because the next attack removes its remaining HP.
