CARDEX BACKGROUND
Kingdra lives deep inside underwater caves and in waters where few other creatures survive. It conserves energy in the depths, then rises when the weather worsens. Old stories attribute whirlpools to its yawns and storms to its awakening. At the surface, it may even battle Dragonite. The Pokédex thus combines observations of a deep-sea inhabitant with legends inspired by the ocean’s movements.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Shield states that scales shed by Kingdra shine brightly enough to be offered to royal families. This detail concerns material it sheds naturally. It contrasts with the tales of whirlpools and storms surrounding this Pokémon of the depths.
