CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Quilladin opposes attacks with its sturdy shell and can retaliate with its spikes. Yet this protection does not make it provocative: the Pokédex describes it as peaceful and disinclined to start fights. With its own kind, it practices deliberate collisions that strengthen its lower body. Charges observed within the group thus represent training, while its shell comes into play against opponents' attacks.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Y explains that Quilladin strengthen their lower limbs by colliding with one another. The same entry emphasizes their peaceful nature: this exercise among their own kind does not mean they seek to provoke fights.
