CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Dustox emerges after nightfall and instinctively heads toward lights. In cities, groups gather around streetlamps and nibble nearby trees' leaves. Its antennae help it find food. If attacked, each wingbeat scatters poisonous dust. The Pokédex thus shows a nighttime visitor attracted to the city but dangerous to disturb near its light sources.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Omega Ruby describes Dustox swarms drawn to streetlamps and the leaves of street trees. Pokémon Alpha Sapphire notes that its antennae help locate food. Light gathers it where it can also eat.
