CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Munna levitates near sleepers and feeds on their dreams. When it eats one, the person may forget it upon waking. Its body patterns glow faintly during this nighttime meal. Smoke then escapes from it: pink if the dream was happy, black if it was a nightmare. The Pokédex says it can appear beside a troubled being to free them from a bad dream.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Shield distinguishes Munna's smoke color according to the dream's content: pink for a pleasant dream, black for a nightmare. Pokémon Black notes that the eaten dream is forgotten. The meal therefore leaves a visible trace while sometimes erasing the memory.
