CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Cramorant has enough power to defeat an opponent in a single blow, but its memory sometimes fails in the middle of battle. It may forget whom it is fighting. Its appetite creates other mistakes: it swallows Arrokuda whole and sometimes tries to gulp down another Pokémon by mistake. The Pokédex thus places strength alongside distraction. Its danger comes from no elaborate plan, but from a formidable attack launched by a Pokémon often preoccupied with eating.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Shield explains that Cramorant may mistake another Pokémon for an Arrokuda and try to swallow it. Pokémon Sword adds that it sometimes even forgets its opponent’s identity. These details explain why its power is not always accompanied by good control of battle.
