CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Claw Fossil is played as a Colorless Basic Pokémon and also counts as a Trainer. It has no attack of its own, cannot retreat, and is unaffected by Special Conditions. Its Knock Out does not count as a Pokémon being Knocked Out, although it is discarded; you may also voluntarily discard it during your turn before attacking.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The Knock Out counting exception does not leave the Fossil in play when it falls. The text retains its discard while separately providing a voluntary exit before attacking during your own turn.

Printed card effect
