CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Samson Oak draws two cards, then two additional cards if both Active Pokémon share a type. The comparison concerns the front-line battlers on both sides without considering Bench types. The Supporter can supply four cards in total, but the initial draw does not depend on that type match.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
The effect compares the Active Pokémon's own types rather than their attached Energy. Two battlers carrying the same Energy do not necessarily meet the condition if their Pokémon types differ.
