CARDEX BACKGROUND
Pikachu's electricity is not only used to drive off opponents. When two Pikachu meet, they may touch tails and exchange electricity as a greeting. The gesture turns an impressive power into a sign of closeness. Behind the sparks and charged cheeks lies a way of getting acquainted that belongs to this small forest-dwelling Pokémon.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pikachu uses an electric shock to roast Berries that are too hard before eating them. Its electricity becomes an everyday tool. The entry describes a feeding habit of the species, not a card effect.
