CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Krabby inhabits beaches, where it can bury itself in the sand. When food is scarce, several individuals dispute the same territory. Its large pincers defend it and can grow back after being torn off. Faced with a threat, it also blows bubbles in front of itself to appear larger. The Pokédex thus describes a shore dweller that alternates intimidation, fights over space, and the ability to regain its natural weapons.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Krabby's pincers can regrow after being lost, according to Pokémon Sword. Pokémon Shield describes another defense: it hides behind bubbles to look bigger. Alpha Sapphire reports territorial disputes on beaches where food is scarce.
