CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Samurott conceals large blades in the armor pieces on its forelegs. It can draw them with a swift movement to strike an opponent. The Pokédex also credits it with an intimidating presence: a cry or even a look may be enough to make its enemy hesitate. Its armor therefore offers more than protection. It hides weapons used suddenly, while its demeanor can influence a battle before it has struck a blow.

A detail worth noticing

Samurott's blades are housed in the armor on its forelegs like weapons in scabbards. Pokémon X emphasizes how quickly it draws them. Pokémon White specifies that a simple cry can intimidate its opponent before these weapons are even used.
