CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
In this printing, Potion removes two damage counters from one of your Pokémon. If that Pokémon has only one counter, it simply removes that one. The healing targets a specific Pokémon and cannot be divided among several. A small injury may disappear completely, while a more heavily damaged Pokémon retains its other counters. The effect thus eases the damage on a single team member without moving it elsewhere.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
Two damage counters are the maximum removed by this effect. The text explicitly covers a target with only one. This detail prevents treating a Potion played on a Pokémon with a single damage counter as unusable.
