CARDEX BACKGROUND
Banette is said to have been born from an abandoned stuffed toy whose filling became infused with cursed energy. Resentment drives it to search for its former owner. To prepare its curses, it sticks needles into its own body; opening its mouth would reportedly let the energy held inside escape. Yet the Pokédex adds a less sombre possibility: if someone takes great care of this doll, it might return to its original form.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Ultra Moon relates that a well-cared-for Banette can become a doll again. This detail contrasts with entries in which it pursues its former owner for revenge. The relationship maintained with it seems as decisive as the energy that brought it to life.

Resentment at being cast off made it spring into being. Some say that treating it well will satisfy it, and it will once more become a stuffed toy.Ability
