Récupération d’Énergie

CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Energy Retrieval brings two basic Energy cards back from the discard pile and puts them into your hand. A resource already used or lost therefore becomes available for a later choice. The card does not automatically attach them to a Pokémon or promise to recover Special Energy. It replenishes a reserve without yet deciding where it will be spent. The player specifically retrieves basic cards, then organizes the rest of the turn.

A detail worth noticing

The destination stated by the text is the hand, not the field. Taking back two basic Energy cards with Energy Retrieval therefore does not mean attaching them immediately. The card does not mention Special Energy, even if it is also in the discard pile.
