CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Seven Binacle come together to form a Barbaracle. The head directs the whole, but the arms and legs retain wills of their own. They usually follow orders; in an emergency, they can also decide for themselves on a useful combat movement. Eyes in its palms allow it to observe its surroundings. The Pokédex thus describes a collective body in which every limb contributes strength, perception, or initiative without the head losing its commanding role.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword sets the number of Binacle assembled in Barbaracle at seven. Pokémon Shield places eyes in its palms and gives its limbs initiative in emergencies. Alpha Sapphire reminds us that its arms and legs have wills of their own.
