CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Pokémon Communication reveals a Pokémon from your hand and puts it on top of the deck. If that movement occurs, you search the deck for a Pokémon, reveal it, and put it into your hand before shuffling. The Item exchanges a known resource for a selection from the same category without requiring the new Pokémon to share the first one's stage or type.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Communication's first Pokémon returns to the deck before the search. It is not discarded. The text requires revealing both the returned and obtained cards without requiring them to belong to the same evolution chain.
