CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Grookey makes rhythm a way of acting on the world around it. Sounds produced with its special stick carry energy that invigorates nearby plants and flowers. Its music goes beyond the simple pleasure of beating time. With each beat, the little Pokémon maintains a relationship with vegetation, giving its gesture a living influence on the landscape.

A detail worth noticing

Rhythm also affects Grookey itself. Pokémon Shield says it grows increasingly excited when striking rapidly with its stick to attack. The instrument therefore does more than produce an effect around it: it accompanies its own rising energy.
