CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Bonsly lives in dry, rocky terrain. What resembles tears may move passers-by, but also removes water from its body to keep it healthy. Its eyes expel both sweat and tears. Dryness changes another feature: the green spheres above it become slightly glossy. Visible signs on its body therefore accompany its management of water.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Sword distinguishes liquids expelled through Bonsly's eyes: its sweat is slightly salty and its tears mildly bitter. Legends: Arceus warns against mistaking this removal of water for sadness necessarily requiring consolation.
