Noibat

CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Noibat spends its days in dark caves, then takes flight at nightfall to search for fruit. Its large ears emit ultrasonic waves that let it detect its surroundings and even choose the ripest fruit. This precision, useful for feeding, becomes a weapon when it increases the power of its waves against an opponent. Its lifestyle thus combines nocturnal exploration, discerning taste and acoustic defence.

A detail worth noticing

Noibat’s ultrasonic waves can reach a frequency of 200,000 hertz, according to Pokémon X. Pokémon Ultra Sun gives them an unexpected use: judging the ripeness of fruit. The same organ therefore serves precise feeding and unsettling an enemy.
