CARDEX BACKGROUND
Wigglytuff can inflate its body by drawing in air. Its elastic skin then lets it bounce, appear larger and intimidate an opponent. Even disputes between Wigglytuff may be settled through a size contest. Its very soft fur also attracts attention, to the point that people collect it when it changes with the seasons. The Pokédex thus presents a Pokémon whose flexibility helps it both defend itself and live among its own kind.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later. When Wigglytuff gets angry, Pokémon Ultra Moon says it can reach up to twenty times its usual volume. Its fur, meanwhile, changes with the season; Pokémon Sun reports that people collect it to make coats. Its flexible body and coat play very different roles.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
