CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Emolga glides between trees while releasing sparks that keep bird Pokémon away. It also uses electricity to grill fruit and Bug-type Pokémon before eating them. On stormy nights, many Emolga may gather in the sky. Its taste for sweet Berries sometimes works against it: if it stores too many in its cheek pouches, it glides less well. Its agility therefore depends on a balance between food reserves and lightness.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Shield relates that Emolga may fill its cheek pouches with too many Berries to glide properly. Pokémon Ultra Sun describes hundreds of individuals gathering during storms. The same sky therefore hosts its most spectacular flight and a very everyday risk of overloading.
