CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Vulpix’s silhouette changes as it grows. The young Pokémon has only one white tail; this later splits to form the six tails that make it so recognisable. Its beauty tells a story of maturation. A fire in its belly also lets it produce balls of flame, giving this carefully groomed appearance real power.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Vulpix’s flames have sometimes led to a misunderstanding. According to Pokémon Moon, they look like spirits, to the point that some people mistake them for ghosts. This is an interpretation by witnesses, rather than spirits that have actually been identified.
