CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Cetitan travels through regions covered in snow and ice. Powerful muscles and a thick layer of fat beneath its skin protect its body from cold. Icy energy accumulates in the horn on its upper jaw. This horn then reaches a temperature low enough to freeze its surroundings. The Pokédex thus makes its entire body an adaptation to its environment: protection lies beneath the skin, while cold concentrates at the tip of its head.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Violet places Cetitan's icy horn on its upper jaw and says it can freeze the surroundings. Pokémon Scarlet emphasizes its muscles and fat layer, which protect the rest of its body while traveling through snow.
