CARDEX BACKGROUND
Hitmonlee extends and retracts its legs like springs to hit a distant enemy. This reach increases further when it chains kicks together. Excellent balance lets it launch a flurry from almost any position. After battle, it massages its legs to soothe fatigue. The Pokédex describes a fighter whose power depends on flexibility and bodily control as much as on the hardness of its feet.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Omega Ruby reports that Hitmonlee massages its legs after a battle. Pokémon Shield explains that it can lengthen or retract them at will. The weapon giving it exceptional reach therefore also needs care after exertion.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
The legs freely contract and stretch. The stretchy legs allow it to hit a distant foe with a rising kick.Cost: Fighting
