The story behind this Trainer card

Energy Removal 2 flips a coin and, on heads, lets you choose and discard an Energy attached to one of the opponent's Pokémon. Chance decides whether removal can happen. Once the favourable result is obtained, you choose the target among attached opposing resources. The text does not restrict that choice to the Active Pokémon or to basic Energy.

A detail worth noticing

The number in Energy Removal 2's name does not mean two Energy will be removed. The effect discards only one Energy after a heads result. That card must be attached to an opposing Pokémon when selected.
