CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Sage's Training looks at the top five cards of your deck, puts two of your choice into your hand, and discards the others. The Supporter offers immediate selection at the cost of the unchosen cards losing their positions in the deck. Their destination is the discard pile rather than a shuffle or return to the top.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
No category is imposed on the two retained cards. The other three are not returned to the deck for a later draw: discarding them is the trade-off for this selection among five cards.
