CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Gothitelle watches the movement of stars to predict the future. Its psychic powers sometimes distort surrounding space enough to show celestial bodies normally too distant to be seen that way. The Pokédex also credits it with perceiving Trainers' lifespans. Despite these unsettling abilities, it describes Gothitelle as largely nonhostile. Its gaze toward the sky therefore combines observation, prediction and phenomena difficult to explain.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Black says space near Gothitelle can reveal distant stars. Pokémon Sword emphasizes that it is not naturally hostile. Its surprising visions therefore do not mean it seeks to frighten those observing it.
