CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Graveler feeds on stones, especially moss-covered ones, and can grind through considerable quantities. Its weak legs do not prevent movement: it curls into a ball and rolls rapidly downhill. It sometimes climbs a cliff before hurtling back down the route it just traveled. Obstacles in its path risk being pulverized. The Pokédex shows a Pokémon using mountain terrain as much for feeding as for travel.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sun credits Graveler with eating up to a ton of stones a day. Pokémon Moon describes it rolling downhill at up to a hundred kilometers per hour. Its weight and speed explain why crossing its path in the mountains can be dangerous.
