CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Geodude easily blends in with stones beside mountain paths. It can be disturbed accidentally by someone stepping on it, and its reaction is immediate. Despite its ball-like shape, it is heavy and hard. It also climbs steep slopes with its hands. As it ages, the roughness of its surface softens and its temperament becomes calmer. The Pokédex presents a living rock whose shape and mood slowly change over the years.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Moon says human bouldering supposedly took inspiration from Geodude climbing slopes barehanded. Pokémon Moon reports a scholar counting around a hundred on a single road. The species is both an unexpected model and a very common neighbor.
