CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Chingling carries an orb in its mouth that moves with each bounce. This motion produces a bell-like chime, but not all its sounds are so easy to recognise. It also emits high-frequency cries. In Hisui, the observer reports suffering a severe headache while the Pokémon seemed to cry silently. He considers the possibility that some of these frequencies simply escape human hearing.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Legends: Arceus reports a headache caused by an apparently silent cry from Chingling. The narrator wonders whether some sounds remain inaudible to humans. Other entries explain its chiming through the moving orb it keeps inside its mouth.
