Énergie de distorsion

CARDEX BACKGROUND

The role of this Energy

Warp Energy provides one Colorless Energy, but its main interest lies in when it enters play. If attached from the hand to the Active Pokémon, its text switches that Pokémon with a Benched Pokémon. Attaching it then becomes a way to change combat positions immediately while leaving an Energy on the affected card. The trigger is precise: attachment from the hand to the Active Pokémon, not simply this Energy being on the field.

A detail worth noticing

Older and newer Warp Energy printings keep the same decisive condition: the switching effect occurs when it is attached from the hand to the Active Pokémon. Attaching it directly to a Benched Pokémon does not satisfy this condition, even though it still provides Colorless Energy.
