The Pokémon’s story

Morgrem knows how to give a false impression of weakness. It gets on all fours as though asking forgiveness, then lures an opponent close enough to strike with hair pointed like a spear. Its trickery extends beyond battle: it may also try to lead people into the woods. Some credit it with the power to make crops grow, but this ability is a reported belief. The Pokédex thus places an observed tactic alongside a less certain reputation.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword explains Morgrem's trap: its apologetic posture prepares a strike with its hair. Pokémon Shield separately reports its agricultural reputation as a belief, while describing its attempts to lure humans toward the forest.
