CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Sylveon forms relationships through touch. It wraps its ribbon-like feelers around its Trainer's arm to walk alongside them, or uses them to calm a quarrel. The soothing aura it emits gives these gestures particular significance. Its gentleness is more than an appearance: it can change the atmosphere of an encounter and restore calm between others.

A detail worth noticing

A Galar folk tale mentioned in Pokémon Shield tells of a beautiful Sylveon defeating a fearsome dragon Pokémon. This is a traditional story cited by the Pokédex, not a precisely identified battle to which all its cards refer.
