Sabrina's Venomoth

CARDEX BACKGROUND

About the species

Venomoth emerges at night to catch small insects drawn to streetlights. As it beats its wings, it scatters fine scales that can paralyze or poison whatever they touch. Once on the skin, they cling and are hard to remove. Its hunting thus benefits from human-made lighting, while its defense makes contact dangerous. The Pokédex describes a moth discreet in darkness whose dust nevertheless leaves a lasting trace.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Omega Ruby places Venomoth's hunting near streetlights, where its prey gather. Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu warns that scales stuck to skin are hard to remove. Light useful to the insect hunter therefore also increases the risk of approaching it.
