CARDEX BACKGROUND
In Sinnoh’s myths, Palkia is associated with space itself. It can shape space and is said to haunt a rift in a dimension parallel to our own. Accounts present it as an ancient deity, far beyond a dragon encountered on a path. Its presence invites the imagination of distances and boundaries that no longer stay quite in place. The Pokédex passes on this legend while retaining the mystery surrounding it.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later. An entry in Pokémon Black states that Palkia’s breathing is said to maintain the stability of space. The text presents this as a belief, rather than a measured phenomenon. The image is striking: the breathing of a single Pokémon would be linked to the balance of the world around it.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
