CARDEX BACKGROUND
Dragapult lives with Dreepy housed in the cavities of its horns. When it attacks, it launches them at the speed of sound. The Pokédex presents this association as a shared life and reports that the Dreepy are said to eagerly await launch time. Dragapult’s unusual fighting style therefore depends on these small Pokémon being present in its horns. It combines their lightning-fast movement with the action of the larger Pokémon housing them.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later. The Dreepy housed in Dragapult’s horns are not described as simple inert projectiles. Pokémon Shield reports that they eagerly await their departure at the speed of sound. Pokémon Sword confirms that they live alongside Dragapult before the attack.
