CARDEX BACKGROUND

About the species

Weepinbell spends part of the night hanging from a branch by its hook. By day, it catches moving things with leaf-shaped limbs, immobilizing powder and acidic liquid. Restless sleep can make it fall from its perch. The Pokédex thus combines the image of a plant ready to swallow prey with that of a being whose rest remains precarious. Its weapons mainly serve it when it is fully awake.

This account describes the species in the video games. It does not describe its Trainer’s history or that of this copy, and does not identify the depicted form or sex.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Omega Ruby says Weepinbell can fall from the branch where it sleeps hanging. Pokémon X describes its sharp leaves and corrosive fluid. This dangerous predator therefore experiences a very ordinary moment of vulnerability during sleep.
