The Pokémon’s story

Riolu discovers others through aura, the waves that allow it to perceive their emotions and the state of its surroundings. Its own body emits them too, more intensely when it feels fear or sadness. Encounters are not limited to gestures or words. This energetic little Pokémon has another language, capable of making perceptible feelings that are often kept hidden.

A detail worth noticing

Riolu's small size gives little hint of its stamina. Pokémon Sword describes it as able to run all night and notes that even an ordinary walk can become demanding. Its everyday energy therefore already presents a challenge to anyone accompanying it.
