CARDEX BACKGROUND

About this Pokémon form

Alolan Dugtrio's golden locks are metallic whiskers, far more useful than mere decoration. They sense vibrations from sounds emitted several kilometers away. Their weight slows the Pokémon, but its power lets it dig through rock. In this underground life, a shining head of hair thus serves as a long-range warning system.

A detail worth noticing

In Alola, these Pokémon are revered as incarnations of female earth deities. Their hair also inspires a superstition: keeping one of their fallen hairs supposedly brings bad luck. Tradition therefore encourages leaving this golden souvenir where it lies.
