Silver Tempest / #022/195
Printed language: English · Pokémon
CARDEX BACKGROUND
Rapidash readily trots through fields, but a race can suddenly transform its pace. Its competitive spirit drives it to pursue anything faster than itself. At full gallop, it is said to exceed 240 kilometres per hour, and its fiery mane scatters sparks in the wind. Within a herd, the fastest becomes leader and chooses the direction of travel. The Pokédex thus connects its speed with both rivalry and group life.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Shield assigns leadership of a Rapidash herd to its fastest member. This hierarchy gives their taste for racing another function: it also determines where the group goes and its collective speed.
