CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Lacey shuffles your hand into the deck, then draws four cards. This refresh becomes larger when the opponent has three or fewer Prize cards remaining: you draw eight instead. The effect therefore depends on the opponent's progress, not your own Prize count. It lets you start again with more resources when the other player approaches the end of the game.

A detail worth noticing

Lacey's threshold concerns the opponent's remaining Prize cards. At three or fewer, drawing eight replaces drawing four: the two amounts do not add together. The old hand is first shuffled back into the deck.
