The Pokémon’s story

Lombre sleeps by day on algae beside the water, then wakes at dusk to look for food in the river. It also takes advantage of the dim light to play tricks on fishers, tugging their lines before hiding. Its slippery body makes it difficult to grab. The Pokédex describes a nocturnal neighbor of quiet waters, sometimes an algae lover, sometimes a prankster watching the reactions of those who have come to fish.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Omega Ruby says Lombre pulls fishers' lines to confuse them. Pokémon Alpha Sapphire notes that its skin is covered in a slimy film. Its prank is therefore followed by an escape that its body makes unpleasant to interrupt.
