CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Prinplup lives apart from its own kind. The Pokédex explains this solitude through pride: each believes itself superior to the others. Its isolation does not indicate physical weakness, however. A blow from its wings can snap a tree in two. The entries thus connect a personality trait with remarkable strength. Prinplup does not need a group to make its presence felt, but this conviction also deprives it of a shared life with its peers.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Omega Ruby describes every Prinplup as convinced it is better than the others, leading it to live alone. Alpha Sapphire gives a concrete measure of its strength: a single strike of its wings can split a tree.
