CARDEX BACKGROUND
Oricorio’s dance changes with the nectar it has drunk. The red form accompanies its steps with flames; the yellow form approaches opponents with lively movements and electric blows. Pink nectar leads to a gentle dance that focuses psychic energy, while purple nectar brings a choreography associated with spirits. These behaviours describe four forms of the same species. A particular card depicts only one: the nectar and dance style must be understood in relation to its exact form.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later. The official Pokédex presents four different nectars for Oricorio: red, yellow, pink and purple. Its Dancer Ability also lets it immediately copy a dance move used by another Pokémon in battle. This aptitude is shared by the species, whatever the nectar.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
